I have some difficult news to share.
We have received news that our former Deputy Director of Operations, Tara Barnes, has passed away.

Our staff, board of directors, extended NMAC team of consultants and trainers, and I are shocked and beyond saddened. While we are still processing this devastating loss, what stands out with incredible clarity and weight: Tara dedicated 27 years of her life to our organization.
Whether you met Tara at one of our conferences over the last 27 years, worked with her closely, or simply knew her as a long-standing influence in our work, this is a collective loss. We remain grateful for her life, her service, and the twenty-seven years she chose to spend building and strengthening the community with us. She touched so many lives through her years of service.
We are in communication with her family and will share details about ways to honor and celebrate her life.
Times like these are a reminder to cherish life and hug your loved ones.
