It’s been less than a month since we wrapped our successful 10th Biomedical HIV Prevention Summit in Chicago, where we broadened the dialog around building syndemically integrated systems.

I now invite you to join us at the 30th U.S. Conference on HIV/AIDS (USCHA) in sunny California, where we begin the conversation about putting whole-person health at the center of those systems. Our seven conference tracks are just the beginning of an incredible convening!

2026 is a milestone year for our movement; we mark the 45th year of the HIV movement, timestamped by the June 5, 1981 Centers for Disease Control’s MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Report) that announced the discovery of the AIDS virus. This journey is also strengthened by the 10th anniversary of the power of “Undetectable = Untransmittable,” a grassroots-driven awareness of people living virally suppressed with HIV. 

The NMAC team invites you to step fully into this year by commemorating our history, celebrating our communities, and coming together with purpose. Themed “United and Unbreakable: The HIV Movement at 45,” USCHA will honor the progress we’ve fought for, remember the loved ones we’ve lost, celebrate people living with and preventing HIV, and work collectively to shape the next decade’s plan to end the epidemic. 

We are deep in USCHA planning, bringing together community leaders, public health partners, and clinical experts to help shape a robust and responsive conference program. Today, we share our seven conference tracks and open the call for abstracts, institutes, workshops, and posters. We will soon launch our enhanced scholarship process, to offer better support and access to our participants and community members.

We’re strengthening our commitment to providing meaningful access to skill‑building and community engagement.
