Since 1989, this event has raised over $7 million for Hope & Help Center of Central Florida. Originally known as Headdress Ball, the event began as a grassroots effort by friends caring for a loved one dying of AIDS-related complications. What started as compassion became action. What started small became iconic. Over the 29 events, Headdress became known for bold theatrical performances, fashion that made headlines, and community leadership both on and off stage.
