This conference seeks to bring together community members, providers, and researchers to network with colleagues and peers, learn about ongoing and current research initiatives throughout the state, and create synergy amongst the attendees for potential future collaborative research projects. This unique event brings together community stakeholders, healthcare providers, and researchers to the same room to cross-share information that might not otherwise be heard, which promotes inclusion of community and providers perspectives into the research community.
The theme for the 2026 conference is Reimagining the Future of HIV - Integrating Science, Policy, and Community.
Conference Objectives:
- Hot topics in HIV care, research, and prevention in Florida
- Learn about research and programs related to HIV in Florida
- Identify strategies to ensure that researchers, providers, and community members work together to address HIV in Florida
- Discuss how issues such as stigma and substance abuse are barriers to achieving optimal HIV outcomes
- Network with others who have common interests, which will enhance collaborations on HIV/AIDS protocols with answerable research questions
