You are not alone in feeling this way, it's PTSD, being triggered! I too, am baffled that we keep having to repeat the past over and over again. We, the elders, have to keep stepping up, to the same fight for our lives! Where are the younger LGBTQ+ generations?!!! Cleve Jones and the like have been doing this work for so, so, long!!! It is time to pass the baton! Younger LGBTQ+, this is your TIME!!!
Very well said and an excellent summation of my feelings about our current state. I feel like we are waiting for the administration to break enough things, bad enough to point fingers but that approach won’t work without a lot of serious damage. We need a different approach and I confess I don’t know what that is. I mean, I just read in the WaPo that Americans are starting to wake up to the fact that tariffs will hit them in the wallet. Really? Just now. How can such ignorance be combatted?

I feel the same way. I am 62 years old now and have been positive since 1985 and AIDS since October 1994. I should have died before I turned 30 but here i am. Back then I was in support groups and we stood together and we fought for our rights. We deserve everything that we now have and I am scared that it will all be taken away. My income comes from 100% US Navy disability and social security. This now supports not just me but my husband of almost 21 years. He is now disabled with Parkinsons .
