Always remember Boone talks his own position. He owns a large hedge fund that trades energy,is majority of owner of CLNE,and is big in wind in WTexas. He is a media darling,much like McCain was before his run for President,and gets more face time than Chucky Schumer. The fact is we have more nat gas than anyone can imagine and oil from US shale by some estimates could be larger than all the oil in the mid east. The argument by Dems for the past twenty years is it will take 7 to 10 years,when in truth oil and gas could be flowing in under a year and as W proved last week,just the announcement of drilling can lower the price by scaring traders out of their length. The government is largely to blame for present prices. In my opinion the only reason the Dems are against drilling on US properties is because they think they can in some way control or have the government own and market the oil and gas. The real question is, should we destroy our economy and country because of Algore and his huge man made global warming fraud. World wide global temps have been in decline since 1998 and the 5 warmest years in the last 120 were between 1900 and 1910. Algore stands to make a fortune in carbon trading schemes that make Enron look like boyscouts. I think nuclear gets a poor rap. The moratorium on nuclear is going on 30+ years. That's like a whole ice age ago, computeristically and technologically speaking. Surely there must be some way to advance nuclear power without putting all of us in harm's way.
