It occured to a woman in the Ethersphere to ask ChatGPT to analyze Potus’ and his henchmen’s H.R.1, otherwise known as the BBB. Here’s what she reports it told her:

If you believe in democracy, in pluralism, in justice, or simply the idea that the government should not be a weapon, H.R.1 must be buried. Not amended. Not negotiated. Defeated. Fully. 

If AI truly structured and wrote this analysis— cogent, richly worded, deftly metered— we writer-thinker types are all out of jobs. Those few lucky enough to still have remunerated writing-thinking gigs. I used to “train” large language models (aka AI) as a kind of side hustle and found them clunky, quirky and ridden with errors. Certainly never even close to producing this level of craftsmanship. Maybe they’ve improved greatly since then? And while I love, love, loved this analysis & structure, I also have to wonder: if this really came from ChatGPT, could it also be just the latest instance of chatbots going off the rails?
