Having seroconverted in the early 1980s, survived most of my peer group, and now entering into my 60s, I find your "find joy in your diagnosis" not only impossible, but demeaning of long-term survivors' experiences. Being optimistic and grounded are one thing. Erasing the experience of a generation that lived through an uncontrolled pandemic malignly ignored by a homophobic Republican administration is another.
