I was very happy to read this topic as a heterosexual HIV woman and long-term survivor have felt that the heterosexual community particularly men living with HIV have been lost in the crowd. We are continuously promote LGBTQ community. I would love to engage with those that that were on the panel or someone from the reunion project who can help me do the same for Long Island. I’m an HIV peer advocate, Spokesmodel with the HIV Stops With Me campaign and more. Please help with advice or directions
I have not been connected in so long. It’s nice to see heterosexual men coming forward for information especially now that we are in our late 50ies and 60ies. Are there social groups or gatherings in person where people can meet up? I would like to be connected with like minded women and men.
I am so excited this topic is being a brought to the forefront. I will celebrating my 30 year seroversary after when diagnosed being told I had 6 mo to a yr to get my affairs in order. Meeting my Mentor Marva Miller after searching for the woman on tv sharing her diagnosis of being HIV+ to her so they could hear it from her mouth. Our Sisterhood created a force of strength that created advocacy in my life. Even now I question where are the heterosexual men identified. Thanks for showing up
Wow so the two panels I've spoken at at the international conference on Stigma at Howard University are finally getting traction? Heterosexual men with HIV a fighting daily just to be offered a space to even bring up this topic.
